Monday assignment
Excuse the post in English, but I want to make sure everyone is clear on this:
Please DO NOT read Compendium chapter 12 for Monday. We'll take it up on Wednesday.
OK, in case that confused anyone, here it is again:
Discipuli, NOLITE Compendii capitulum duodecimum legere nunc.

New video page
At the right hand side of the page you'll see a link called Colloquia Personarum. This page collects together links to all the videos Wyoming Catholic College has produced of Orberg's colloquia--the "blue book," as we call it. I will update this page as new videos are put up.
New audio page
Over at the right hand side of this page, you'll see a link called Familia Romana Capitula Omnia. If you click the link, you can find all of my audio recordings of the Familia Romana chapters in one convenient place.
A great way to review over the summer would be to listen through the chapters again. Let me know if you have any technical difficulties.

Summer Latin
Greetings to any students who may be tuned into this blog! Some of you asked how to keep your Latin sharp over the summer. I will post on this blog, not only to help you keep sharp what you have but also to prepare you for the major concept coming up next year: the subjunctive.
Meanwhile, click here for a nice "easy reader" with lots of great vocab and grammar well within your reach. The good stuff starts on page 3.
And let me know what you would find most helpful in the coming months!

Fabellae latinae terminationes addendae
Greetings! You all have the "white book" of Latin fables ("Fabellae Latinae"). By clicking here, you can get a version of those fabellae without any of the grammatical endings.
Download these and try filling in the endings. You can check your work by looking at the white book you already have. If you can work through these successfully, you will be well prepared for the "fill in the ending" portion of any future examinations.

Hans Orberg
Hans Orberg, author of the text we use here at WCC, passed away last week on February 17th. His was a peaceful death at a ripe old age, but we should still pray for him. Someone who met him once had this to say:
Marcus and Quintus accompanied Hans on his US trip earlier this century. They are Stefan and Anders. Hans's daughter, Trina, served as model for Julia. The unborn child in the later capitula of Familia Romana turned out to be twins, Jens and Jeppers.
Hans did assure me that not EVERYTHING in the characters of the textbook reflects the real children. But Stefan's eyes twinkled each time the mischief of Marcus was mentioned.
